Red Dwarf Air Support Unit Barracks

RD ASU is commanded by Base Commander MarTooth_LinDish and is comprised of an elite group of needle threader's, piloting Gate Gliders to provide air cover and also to make surgical assaults on off world enemy installations and craft. We also have a full range of ground troops and support staff utilising armoured and/or armed ground based vehicles capable of utilising the Stargate network for rapid deployment for such activities as medical evacuation, search and rescue, covert ops and offensive assaults.

Unlike SG1, RD ASU is itself based off world in a near by, but highly classified Red Dwarf solar system on a planet formally outside the Stargate network. We, as a unit, were fortunate to acquire our own Stargate when we liberated our CO's host's old Hat'ak, from his System Lord days, from Apophis, hence the ability to utilise a formally gateless planet as a base of operations.

More recently we also procured an Asgard Mothership, which used to belong to LinDish's former host Forseti, nephew to Thor and son of Balder. It has since been refitted with all the latest Asgard Technology (Holographic interfaces, cloaking device etc) and Armour (Naquada/Trinium/Carbon alloy as used for 'The O'Neill').

In order to better aid communication the unit has been broken down into wings (currently 4) with the CO's of each wing, along with the unit's CO MarTooth_LinDish and Chief of Staff Dis'tra Ashrak forming the ruling council. All wings work closely together in all unit activities and missions and report directly to our unit CO and ruling council.

Our aim's are to be highly supportive to all our members in all aspects of their lives (both online and off), to give excellent training facilities (Wide ranging Tips/Info on all aspects of the SGC and our key officers are always on hand to provide additional support and instruction) and a communication network second to none. We are a fun unit to be in, and all members can be as active or inactive as they wish. All we ask is that you show respect at all times to all other unit's, team's and member's of the SGC, uphold the unit & site rules and that you select and join a wing (or request the unit CO to assign you to a wing if you have no preference). Other than that you are free to enjoy the site in general in any way you see fit though any assistance and/or suggestions in improving and/or running the unit is highly appreciated.
